Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) welcomes outstanding international postgraduate students to apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship (Type B) for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Founded in 1934, Northwest A&F University (NWAFU) is a university directly under China’s Ministry of Education of China. As a key university supported by the Ministry’s "Project 985" and "Project 211", it is also one of the select universities designated for the National "World-Class University and First-class Discipline" Project. Detailed Application Guidance for 2026 CSC Scholarship (Type B)
I. Application Deadline
Deadline: February 28, 2026
Note: Mainly for doctoral students; a small number of Master’s programs are eligible.
II. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.
Academic background & age limits:
Master’s: Bachelor’s degree, under 35
Doctoral: Master’s degree, under 40
Must hold a valid passport (minimum 9 months validity).
Applicants have not been receiving funding from any other scholarships;.
Language requirements:
English-medium programs: IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 79+ or institutional proof of English Proficiency.
Chinese-medium programs: HSK 4+
III. Scholarship Benefits
Covers: Tuition, on-campus accommodation, monthly stipend, medical insurance
Excludes: International travel, off-campus internships, or non-university labs
Stipend: 3,000 yuan (Master’s) | 3,500 yuan (PhD)
Duration: 3 years (Master’s) | 4 years (PhD)
IV. Required Application Materials
All documents must be in English or Chinese. If not, notarized translations are required. Submit to both CSC and NWAFU application systems.
1.CSC Scholarship Application Form (Type B, Agency Code: 10712).
2. Acceptance Letter from a Potential Supervisor (mandatory).
3.Notarized Degree certificate (or provisional/hope certificate).
4. Academic transcripts (notarized).
5. Two recommendation letters.
6. Study Plan / Research Proposal
7. Passport copy (valid for at least 9 months).
8. Police Clearance Certificate (valid 6 months).
9. Medical Examination Record ( mandatory)

If degree not issued yet → provide provisional or hope certificate
If transcript not complete → provide semester results
IELTS is encouraged but not compulsory(except HSK 4 is mandatory for Chinese-medium programs)

→Upload required documents
Step 4: Pay the non-refundable application fee of CNY 400 or USD 75 after qualification review
