Proposed Research Project Title (in English): Function and Mechanism of Transzonal Projections during Oocyte Maturation
Brief Description of the Research Project (max. 150 words in English):
This PhD project focuses on the function and mechanism of transzonal projections (TZPs) during oocyte maturation. In the most mammalians, the secondary oocyte will be ovulated from ovary and then maturation after fertilization. This project will contribute to a deeper understanding of the formation of TZPs, the type of substate and transport mechanism of TZPs, the remove mechanism of TZPs from oocyte etc. Applicants with a background in any of the following fields are welcome to apply:
Animal Genetic, Breeding and Reproduction
Animal bio-technology
Molecular biology and cellular biology
Bio-informatics
III. Applicant Requirements (can be adjusted by the supervisor)
1.Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., animal genetic breeding and reproduction, Animal bio-technology, molecular biology, bio-informatics, etc.)
2. Graduated from a well-recognized university in the applicant's home country
At least one first-author peer-reviewed publication in a relevant academic journal
Strong motivation and research ability in the subject area
Proficiency in English (written and spoken); TOEFL/IELTS is recommended but not mandatory if previous degree was taught in English
